Bodacious Thang wanted to promote a series of live shows in support of her new single "Tha Light". She wanted to me to film and direct a live “unplugged” version of the song. The only issue? I only had an hour window to light, stage, rehearse, and film.

Because I wouldn’t have time for multiple camera setups, I learned the song while lighting, and decided to shoot in one take. My decision was practical and strategic.

Bodacious Thang is one of the few remaining artists that sounds exactly like the record live. No “support” tracks, no lip syncing. I knew that an intimate long shot would drive ticket sales by giving fans an up-close preview of Bodacious Thang’s incredible live show.
